FIND YOUR VILLAGE
Sturgeon Public School Division (SPSD) is launching an 8 week pilot project for Sturgeon Public School Division families, and community members.
This 8 week pilot project will consist of weekly group meetings. The purpose of these weekly meetings will be for you to share your experiences with other parents, from across our division. You will be part of a supportive group of parents who strengthen and encourage one another. Sturgeon Public School Division will provide the facilitators, presentations, a meeting space and childcare if necessary.
Each week there will be a topic chosen. Based on the subject, there will be a brief presentation, followed by lots of time for participants to discuss the topic. For the first few meetings the topics have been chosen, however once the group is established, the topics will evolve based on feedback from the parents’ needs, or interests.
Our goal is to provide a space that parents can come together to meet, to talk and to learn from one another. You will have an opportunity to meet other parents with either the same struggles, or different ones. SPSD’s hope is that you will feel supported and valued as a parent, while connecting with other caring community members.
