Our French Immersion programming is not only focused on teaching our students to speak the language, but also on appreciating and learning more about French culture.
It is important that our students see French as a living language in their community by being exposed to cultural components. Every month, students at Four Winds Public School gather to participate in an activity centered around growing their understanding of and appreciation for French Culture. These gatherings are also an opportunity for the students to demonstrate oral comprehension of French by participating spontaneously in French dialogue.
This month, our students came together to make Tourtières and Tartes au sucre. And, they decorated ginger bread houses!
