Download the Bus Status App
You want to stay on top of any busing delays or cancellations, and we want you to, too. Sturgeon Public Schools uses the Box Clever Bus Status App to give parents and caregivers a simple and accessible way to make sure they're notified of any changes in the status of their students' bus routes immediately. The app is available on the App Store for Apple devices and the Google Play Store for Android devices. iPhone users must be running iOS version 11.0 or later to use the app properly.
The Bus Status App allows you to keep track of any busing delays or cancellations, and receive push notifications for just the bus routes that matter to you.
Not Receiving Notifications?
- Be sure you have a valid internet connection. You can't receive notifications if you are out of service range or lose connectivity.
- Go to "My Buses" in the Bus Status app and ensure your students bus is listed. If it is not, go to the "All Buses" tab and tap the star next to your students bus to add it.
- Ensure notifications are enabled on your mobile device settings for the Bus Status app.
- If you have followed the steps above and are still not receiving notifications, go to the "District" tab in the app and tap the "Reset App" button. You will then need to select your school district and bus(es) again in the app.
- If you are still not receiving notifications after resetting the app and re-selecting your bus, please go to the "District" tab in the app and find your App Serial Code. Provide the App Serial Code to Transportation Services along with the name or number of the bus(es) you have starred in the app at spsdtransportation@sturgeon.ab.ca
