Work Experience

The Work Experience program at Sturgeon Public Schools offers high school students a chance to explore career paths while earning high school credits. This for-credit program provides hands-on training and skill development in real-world environments, giving students a head start in their chosen field.

Students in the Work Experience program are employed as part of a structured school initiative, under the cooperative supervision of a teacher and an employer. This allows participants to gain valuable job experience, develop marketable skills, and build connections in the workforce.

Even students who already have part-time jobs can benefit from the program, as they can earn additional credits through their current employment, gaining recognition for their on-the-job learning.
